Access to public footpaths and rights of way

When we are working near footpaths and rights of way to build the new overhead line and remove existing pylons owned by Western Power Distribution (WPD), we need to either temporarily close them or provide safe escorted access. This is to keep the public and our staff safe.

We are working closely with our contractor, Balfour Beatty, to limit closures and to reopen paths as quickly as possible. We will escort walkers safely across the construction area during working hours.

We will put up advance notices to let users know of any restrictions and closures. The table below shows where are working near the public rights of way and will be updated before any closure.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.
